The Xplova G3, a smart GPS bike computer, imports OpenStreetMap map snippets, Xplova Smart-Sign™ markers and pre-planned trips via the Xplova Smart-Route™ web service. With Xplova Smart-Sign™ wayfinding, the device guides you safely along the entire route, capturing 80 cycling essentials in three display modes - including data from wireless ANT+™ sensors for heart rate or speed/cadence, data from power meters (third-party). By exporting the recorded data to the Xplova X-Tracks™ PC software, all activities can be easily recorded and analysed and - via the Xplova Smart-Share™ web service - also easily shared with friends.
Plan your bike ride with the Xplova Smart-Route™ web service
Xplova's Smart-Route™ web service helps you plan your very own cycling trip: you set your destination, you decide which waypoints you want to use to get there, you mark POIs (Points of Interest), you set markers on uphill or downhill sections and you are guided along the route with clear instructions. At the same time, a matching elevation profile (showing distance versus elevation) with mountain peaks and county names gives you a good preview of the difficulty of your route. All this data is converted into Xplova Smart-Sign™ markers together with detailed OSM map sections (OSM stands for OpenStreetMap) and a GPX route when exported to the Xplova G3. Other features - including:
Downloading GPX bike routes from bike community platforms on the Internet
Exporting OSM map sections without regional and time limits
3D preview of a simulated tour after route planning is complete
Always on the right track - Xplova's Smart-Sign™ route guidance.
The Xplova G3 is equipped with a 5.6 cm sunlight-readable color display and a high-sensitivity GPS receiver; so you can reliably determine your position on the integrated OSM basemap. Travelling a route with the Xplova G3 is an exceptional experience: downloaded, detailed map sections are seamlessly displayed, waypoints, POIs, counties, mountain peaks, turn-offs, gradients and slopes are reliably announced as you approach such locations. And in addition, your position is shown in real time on the elevation profile map - a handy up/down reference when you're traveling in hilly terrain. Other options - including:
Navigate with autozoom and contour line-enabled OSM maps
Position display in elevation profile for route navigation
Feedback function that guides you safely back to the starting point
Enrich your trip - with custom Xplova modes.
The Xplova G3 determines and displays more than 80 valuable data from the following categories: Speed, Time, Distance, Barometric Altitude, Temperature, Incline, Calories Burned, as well as data from ANT+(r) wireless sensors such as Heart Rate, Speed/Cadence and Power. Mode selection lets you view your preferred data in a grid view, as a graphical chart, or in the classic Xplova dashboard, making your ride more engaging and convenient. The Xplova G3 also offers a special training mode with thresholds for time, distance and calories burned; so you can create your own personal training program in no time at all. Other functions - unt
