Due to the pure nylon, the feather dress is much more supple and elastic; it is therefore more durable and does not tear as quickly. The head of the shuttlecock is made of 100% pure cork (no pressed cork which is glued and pressed from cork crumbs) => better flight characteristics and higher durability.
