The EX1 rear derailleur takes the rugged construction and precise shifting characteristics of the X-Horizon design and combines them to create the world's first rear derailleur designed specifically for E-MTs. The EX1 rear derailleur is designed for high torque and low cadence shifting in an 11-48 tooth E-block cassette. This gives the rider clean, reliable shifting every time so they can better focus on their ride.

Cage Lock

Thanks to the Cage Lock technology in the rear derailleur, rear wheel removal and installation, as well as chain installation, are faster and easier than ever. Simply slide the cage forward (to release chain tension) and lock.

Roller Bearing Clutch

Roller Bearing Clutch rear derailleurs provide maximum drivetrain stability - even on grueling and highly demanding terrain. Roller Bearing Clutch technology puts an end to wobbly rear derailleurs and flapping chains - without sacrificing precision.

X-Actuation

X-Actuation technology, developed specifically for Sram 1x, ensures precise and consistent shifting along the entire cassette.

X-Horizon

The parallelogram design of the X-Horizon rear derailleur limits movement along the horizontal axis, eliminating so-called "ghost shifting" while reducing shifting force. For faster and more accurate shifting, the large offset of the upper shift pulley ensures constant chain spacing in each gear.
