Technologies:

Hard Chrome - The Sram Hard Chrome chain has a four times higher (wear) strength than our other chains. This is due to our new machining process for the inner links and rollers. The push pin strength and overall strength are equal to our current chains. Hard Chrome chain lasts longer and is extremely strong.

Powerlock - Sram's chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect our chains. Although PowerLock requires no special tools for assembly, given the tight tolerance range of a 10- and 11-speed drivetrain, each PowerLock can only be used once.

X-Sync - X-Sync 1x chainrings from Sram ensure maximum performance and durability. The long Sram X-Sync tooth edges grip the chain earlier than traditional triangular teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile and the rounded oblique edges support the chain guide. To provide the best possible performance in muddy terrain, X-Sync chainrings feature depressions to remove dirt and mud for the inner chain links and rollers. The German-made X-Sync chainrings are a key component of Sram's 1x -drive.

Eagle - Eagle technology represents our latest 1x drive technology. Eagle is a lighter, simpler, more durable and easier to use drivetrain. Eagle features brand new 1x components that provide even greater durability and performance while offering a significant weight advantage over other drive solutions. Eagle -Technology also has an extended ratio range of 520% and thus resembles 2x11 drives.

Flowlink - The ultra-smooth inner plates of the chain are completely free of edges. This reduces friction on the cassette and chainring. The result: quiet performance and longer component life. The chain design allows for a narrower profile. The chain is thus more torsion-resistant. Due to its smoother outer plates, the riveting is more uniform and the tensile strength is higher.
