The Shadow Plus mechanism on the RD-M9000 rear derailleur has also been further developed. With the possibility to adjust the friction damper via a screw mechanism as desired, the system can be variably tuned in favour of maximum stability or minimum operating forces. In addition, the rear derailleur has an even lower profile that protects it from damage and further reduces operating forces thanks to the flat angle of attack. With the new Shadow Plus technology, the new side-swing front derailleur design and the new XTR chain, the M9000 series offers the most stable mountain bike drivetrain ever. Combined with a wide range of Rider Tuned options for cranksets, braking systems, wheels and pedals, this makes the XTR M9000 the most complete mountain bike component set on the market.
