Change tire (inner tube)

How do I change the tire (tube)?
For the tube change you need

  • one or two tire levers
  • a new, suitable tube
  • a bicycle pump

When changing the tube, follow these steps

  1. First, remove the valve cap from your wheel and let the air out.
  2. Then press the tire into the center of the rim to release it from the rim.
  3. With a tire lever you can balance the tire over the rim
  4. Then attach the tire lever to the spoke
  5. Use a second tire lever to carefully balance the tire from the rim and then remove the broken (old) tube. Important: Check the tire at this point for foreign objects so that the new tube is not damaged.
  6. Now pump up the new tube slightly and put it into the tire. When doing this, bring the valve through the valve opening and tighten the locking nut.
  7. Once the tube is in the tire, balance the tire back over the rim using the tire lifter.
  8. Then "massage" the tire into the center of the rim and tighten the lock nut more.
  9. Inflate the tube and close the valve cap.

Your bike is now ready to ride and use.
