Maxxis tyres MTB Shorty 29", 2.50 (WT), 3C MaxxTerra, TR + EXO

Our pros needed a mid-spike tire that could handle dry, loose and rutted turns as well as a little mud. The Shorty is that kind of tire, with a high-volume dual-ply carcass that makes it more versatile than our WetScream mud tire. Large, high and slightly staggered side lugs penetrate loose soil and ensure predictable rounding of corners at the speed of light. Two lug types alternate in the center: rectangular lugs and square lugs, with strong bite under braking and excellent self-cleaning.

Super Tacky

The SuperTacky tread is the reference for grip and performance in freeride and downhill tires, in short the basis of the most successful DH tires in the world. It consists of a base compound and the SuperTacky compound, which is extremely grippy in all ground conditions.

3C Maxxis Grip (DH)

Superior racing performance with three different rubber compounds in different positions in the tread. The base layer provides lower rolling resistance and stability of the tread lugs. The compound in the center of the tread provides the best grip on any surface, while the extremely cushioned compound on the shoulder lugs provides the best possible cornering grip.

Double Down

DoubleDown tires are built like our downhill tires: two carcass plies reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, with two 120 TPI (instead of 60TPI) carcass plies and aramid bead, they are significantly lighter than our downhill tires, much stronger and more robust than our EXO+ TR tires, making them ideal for tough enduro courses.
