About MAGURA
MAGURA has stood for technical innovation, maximum safety and quality with its expertise in hydraulics, mechanics and plastics technology since 1893. The headquarters are located in Bad Urach, where the company was founded. Around 680 employees in Europe, Asia and the USA develop, produce and market components for two-wheelers of all kinds - bicycles, mountain bikes, eBikes, cargo and motorbikes. In addition, MAGURA offers worldwide services for its own products and as a system partner for external customers. As a fourth-generation family business, MAGURA continues to fulfil its responsibility to promote and advance new mobility trends with know-how.
Since the brand's beginnings in the bicycle segment, MAGURA brakes have been characterised by their high reliability and outstanding performance. Numerous successes in the international sports press and world championship titles with MAGURA brakes are impressive proof of this.
Over the last 35 years, MAGURA has made the transition from newcomer in the bike sector, with the invention of the first hydraulic bicycle brakes in 1987, to technology leader. High-tech components are manufactured from materials developed and produced in-house and successfully used in the test-winning brakes of the MT series. The latest milestones in the company's history include innovations such as MAGURA ABS components that are perfectly matched to the Bosch eBike ABS. The electric drive of e-bikes enables higher speeds, longer distances and the transport of larger loads, resulting in new requirements for brakes. The conclusion of a study was that 29% of all pedelec accidents could have been avoided with Bosch eBike ABS.
