Features gravel bike
A key feature of a gravel bike is the suspension and damping aspect. The Gravel bike has a rigid fork and no active suspension elements because it is not intended for off-road riding. With the Gravler you are on paved roads and dirt tracks.
Stable handling, high speed and efficient pedaling power transmission are the hallmarks of a gravel bike.
Other features:
- Frame geometry between cyclocross and road bike.
- diamond frame shape for very good structural strength
- Extended rear triangle and large wheelbase for great stability
- Disc brakes for a safe braking performance
- wider and thicker wheels than road bike (between 28 and 35 mm) for longer tours and treks
- Sitting position tends to be more upright than on a road bike
- Handlebars typical of road bikes, often low-slung
Popular gravel bike brands are: CUBE, BMC, Scott, Kross, Focus
