View and analyze key running efficiency metrics like stride rate, stride length, ground contact time, ground contact time balance, vertical movement, and vertical ratio. These biomechanical metrics will help you better interpret your running form to be in top shape on race day.

How it works

The Running Dynamics Pod module includes an accelerometer that measures body movement to calculate 6 running efficiency parameters.

• Stride rate is the number of steps per minute. It shows the number of total steps (cumulative for right and left).

• Ground contact time balance shows the ratio (left/right) of your ground contact time while running. It is displayed as a percentage. For example, it is displayed as 53.2 along with an arrow pointing left or right.

• Stride length is the length of your stride from touchdown to touchdown. It is measured in meters.

• Vertical movement is the up-down movement of running. It shows the vertical movement of the upper body in centimetres for each step.
• The vertical ratio describes the relation of the vertical movement to the stride length. It is given as a percentage. A lower value usually indicates a better running form/technique.
  

• Ground contact time is the time per step you spend on the ground while running. It is measured in milliseconds.
