3D printed padding:

The development of digital 3D printing allowed us to create a new saddle without the constraints or limitations imposed by traditional production methods and materials. The Adaptive Saddle Pad is manufactured by Carbon using revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen permeable optics and liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, resolution and surface finish.

Tested in the lab, proven on the road

The saddle was tested both in the Fizik labs and on the road. During each stage of development, each iteration was carefully tested. A big focus was placed on understanding how the pressure patterns change depending on bike geometry, riding position and riding style.
