Weight benches are part of the basic equipment for strength training. A weight bench stabilizes the body during many exercises and allows together with training stations and dumbbells or barbells is a comprehensive training of the whole body. A weight bench is usually divided into two parts and consists of seat and backrest. Depending on the model, the backrest can be adjusted from 90 to 180 degrees - and thus the degree of difficulty of many exercises can be changed. A varied free weight workout is possible while sitting or lying down. The main exercises include bench press, incline bench press, flys and pull-ups.
