Strength training

The importance of well-developed muscles for a healthy body is elementary, especially in today's sedentary times. It is also a fact that strength in its various forms - maximum strength, speed strength, strength endurance - represents a more or less pronounced factor in some form or another in almost every sport and is therefore of great importance.

What exactly is strength training?
The definition of strength training is often somewhat fuzzy, as in practice it often cannot be completely separated from endurance and movement training. Leg muscle strength is improved during squats with barbells, for example, but also during jogging and sprinting. So if we talk about just increasing muscle strength, we can't clearly define strength training. Nevertheless, we all have a precise idea of how strength training should look like in the gym or in the home studio. In training theory, the term maximum strength is often used to describe strength training in a clear-cut way: If we think of maximum force (the greatest possible load that the muscles can perform), we speak of strength training from half of the maximum force. It all sounds very technical, but the example is very simple: athletes who bench press 100kg start strength training at 50kg on the barbell. All exercises before that are more for strength endurance, dynamics or flexibility. This complexity actually only describes what we all instinctively know: Strength training is training with heavy weights and is used for targeted muscle building. Important for this is the so-called supercompensation, in which the trainee slowly increases the training load in order to set new stimuli. And this is exactly where flexible strength training equipment is needed. From the compact home gym to the bicep trainer to the barbell, strength training requires high-quality equipment that grows with its challenges.

With our professional fitness equipment we offer you the right equipment to achieve your dream body.

Regular strength training has many positive effects

  • Injury prevention
  • Bone fractures can be prevented due to the tension of strong muscles, because at the right time the muscles can secure the bones with sufficient force. Likewise, ligaments and joint capsules are protected from traumatic injuries by strong muscles. Strength training avoids or reduces back pain, thus providing postural prophylaxis.
  • increase of muscle mass, prevention of muscle atrophy
  • Avoidance of metabolic slowdown
  • More muscles consume more calories
  • Improvement of glucose metabolism
  • Lowering blood pressure at rest
  • Increasing bone density and osteoporosis prophylaxis

Effective strength training for better performance
More muscles, more strength and more performance. Instead of long sessions at moderate loads, it's all about pushing yourself to your performance limits (and beyond). Muscle training isn't just bodybuilding for aesthetic reasons, it's also for long-term body health and better fitness. A strong back and muscular system not only counteract the stresses of everyday office life, but also prevent injuries and wear and tear as you age. Weight training not only provides special muscle stimulation during the workout, but is also perfect for losing weight due to the after-burn effect.
Also as a supplement to other sports, targeted muscle training is ideal to elicit the last ounce of performance from the body and become more robust as well as stronger.

Strength training - the perfect equipment for healthy muscle growth
Strength training has very different faces - it can sometimes be carried out slowly and calmly without aids, sometimes guided on the right machines or sometimes with powerful dynamics. This is what makes strength training so useful in everyday sports and predestines it for both stand-alone and supplementary training. What exactly strength training is, how it makes sense to do the training at home or in the gym and how the desired goals can be achieved, this guide reveals.

Set the right impulses!
Weight training not only affects the muscles, but also the circulatory system, nervous system, metabolism and also self-confidence. Targeted workouts with dumbbells, weights and other fitness equipment are an essential part of your training plan and will help you achieve your athletic and physical goals with ease!

Which equipment and accessories athletes use and prefer depends on various factors. These include not only individual goals, but also space and budget. Dedicated equipment for training individual muscles is ideal for a gym, but takes up too much space at home. Free weights are very flexible, but also need additional full or half racks and mats to take full advantage of that flexibility. Our overview shows the most important equipment and accessory categories.

  • Studio equipment - professional, durable, robust
Equipment for the gym is specialized. Leg pulls, curls and abdominal presses are not combined here; instead, a single piece of equipment is available for each exercise. These machines are in the high-priced segment, but will last for years or decades with high utilization. Such equipment is hardly suitable for home use, as the corresponding space is unlikely to be available. The classic studio equipment includes, for example, leg press or incline bench.

  • Strength tower, multistation and multigym - flexible solutions for smaller studios
Strength towers with cable pulley and additional benches are a great solution for smaller studios and rehab practices. Here, several athletes can train at the same time and perform different exercises. The free cable pulley also guarantees ideal core and joint engagement and progressive resistance. These are professional solutions for the highest demands.

  • Racks - the perfect complement to the barbell
If you love barbell training, you should definitely use a rack. These sturdy racks allow the barbell to be placed flexibly, making them comfortable to use for shoulder presses or squats. Athletes who really want to work near their strength maximum here need a rack for healthy barbell placement. Power and half cages also belong to this essential accessory category for ambitious weight training.

  • Home gym - compact and versatile
Ideal for home use are the so-called home gyms or power stations. These combine different devices with each other, before each exercise is set which train moves the weights. Thus, one device can be both chest and leg press, butterfly and latissimus pull. These compact weight stations fit ideally in hobby rooms, garages or the smallest studios and can be used as training equipment for the whole body. Those who simply want to train at home in comparatively little space as in the studio, will find the highest demands served in these professional devices.

  • Accessories - weight training lives from growth
Finally, the accessories should also be right to round off the strength training. Weight plates and dumbbells need the right support, training with weights and heavy equipment needs appropriate protective mats for the floor.
