EVOC HEADQUARTERS
Freerider and product developer Holger Feist founded the company EVOC together with Bernd Stucke in 2008. But years earlier, Holger was already tinkering, crafting and sewing protector backpacks and bike travel bags for himself and his friends who asked for them.
All EVOC products are developed and designed at the company's headquarters. EVOC stands for evolution, the company emphasises the highest quality, functionality and durability. EVOC continues to set trends in terms of design, comfort and safety. All products are tested in-house and improved piece by piece. When selecting production partnerships, EVOC has favoured collaboration with absolute specialists right from the start.
Technologies
AIR CIRCULATION
AIR CIRCULATION is used in all our backpacks, as it ensures optimum ventilation even during high exertion and perspiration and at the same time prevents the sensitive kidney area from cooling down. Continuous, free air circulation is ensured by the vertically routed air channel. Additional air can flow out via side openings along the channel.
AIR FLOW CONTACT SYSTEM
The aim here is to transfer loads as neutrally as possible to the body's centre of gravity while minimising the contact surfaces with the back. We solve this contradiction with a back section in which the ventilation components, such as large ventilation channels and specially milled and perforated EVA pads behind a mesh fabric, are moved inwards. This ensures a close fit to the back and optimises back ventilation at the same time.
AIR PAD SYSTEM
With a combination of five ventilation channels (one main channel plus four secondary channels) and six strategically positioned 3D AIR MESH pads, the AIR PAD SYSTEM offers the optimum combination of a body-hugging, load-neutral fit and ventilation of the back. The shoulder straps with AIR MESH and large ventilation openings ensure good support and optimum breathability in every situation.
AIR TUNE SYSTEM
The lightest back system for our lightest rucksacks. The AIR TUNE SYSTEM offers minimum contact surface and maximum back ventilation for use in the performance sector. Ventilation channels, 3D-AIR MESH padding and shoulder straps with ventilation openings are the features for maximum breathability when hunting for seconds or just that little bit more comfort.
AIRO FLEX
AIRO FLEX is an extremely stable fabric that is as breathable as it is flexible. It is used in our highest quality hip belts and ensures optimum load transfer to the hips while maximising ventilation - for maximum comfort.
AIRSHIELD SYSTEM
High-quality back protector system focussing on ventilation at the back and ergonomic flex properties. It is attached to the outside of the rucksack; the back section and the protector form a combined unit that unites the advantages of stability, proximity of the rucksack to the back and protection in the form of a high-quality component for the best possible impact protection.

LITESHIELD BACK PROTECTOR
The EVOC LITESHIELD BACK PROTECTOR combines maximum impact protection with a feather-light, very effective construction and plenty of flexibility. At the same time, it is absolutely insensitive to temperature. Like most sports helmet manufacturers, we work with an EPS construction, but we have adapted it to the special requirements of back protection with a segmented layer structure. In addition to its outstanding cushioning properties, this protection concept allows fall damage to be recognised immediately and the protector to be replaced individually.
LITESHIELD PLUS SYSTEM
This innovative, extremely lightweight, flexible and temperature-resistant back protector has outstanding impact protection properties. The two-component sandwich construction consists of a combination of expanded polypropylene and a TPU carrier layer. The expanded polypropylene beads are moulded under high pressure and with the aid of water vapour and simultaneously bonded to the carrier layer without the use of adhesives or other solvents. The highly compressed EPP foam provides the best possible protection for the thoracic and lumbar spine, including the coccyx. The side of the protector facing the back is constructed in cross-shaped or plus-shaped elements (SEGMENTED PLUS DESIGN). This ensures optimum air circulation on the back thanks to the resulting all-round ventilation channels. At the same time, the segmentation offers flexibility in all directions: the plus-shaped protector elements of the back plate can be moved in relation to each other. This means they adapt perfectly to every movement and guarantee even more protection and maximum comfort thanks to their proximity to the spine. The flexible, tear-resistant TPU support layer on the front keeps the protector in shape. The horizontal, stepped flex lines determine how the new LITESHIELD PLUS BACK PROTECTOR bends so that it fits the back perfectly in every situation. The EPP protector material used has a closed-cell surface so that neither moisture nor dirt can penetrate the protector.
