For over 10 years, Bosch has been impressing with innovative eBike drive systems, which are characterized by the best performance and quality.
The smart system, the new system generation from Bosch eBike Systems, is fully networked and always up to date through regular updates over-the-air. Our award-winning motors, highly efficient batteries, modern displays and control units as well as the new eBike Flow app ensure an individual e-bike experience. Whether, e-mountain bike, e-trekking bike or e-load bike.

At Bosch, power comes from the middle - which is why we only offer mid-mounted eBike motors. Whether it's a cargo bike for everyday use or a mountain bike on the trail, the power of the Bosch drive system can be optimally dosed thanks to sophisticated sensor management. The acceleration behavior ranges from harmonious-agile to sporty, various riding modes from Eco to Turbo are available. The necessary power is supplied by powerful lithium-ion batteries, which impress with their design and efficiency. A Bosch eBike display on the handlebar completes the drive system. The robust Purion, Intuvia, Kiox and Nyon displays show all important riding data such as speed, battery status and range at a glance.

The smart system also combines motor, battery and display and ensures even more riding fun thanks to the perfect interaction of the components. Thanks to the new eBike Flow app and the LED Remote control unit, your eBike is fully networked from now on - and thus fit for the digital future.

Bosch eBike Systems offers a comprehensive portfolio for electric bikes - from highly efficient drive units (motor and transmission) and powerful batteries to smart on-board and bike computers. Advantages of Bosch batteries

• No memory effect
  Bosch rechargeable batteries with lithium-ion cells can be charged for as short a time as required, regardless of their state of charge. Interruptions in the charging process do not harm the batteries. Complete discharge is not necessary.
• Very low self-discharge
  Even after prolonged storage, e.g. overwintering, the battery can be put into operation without being recharged. For longer storage, a state of charge of approx. 30 to 60 % is recommended. Charging after longer storage is also recommended.
• Long life
  Bosch batteries are designed for many tours, kilometers and years of service. The intelligent, electronic Bosch Battery Management System (BMS) protects against excessive operating temperatures, overloading and deep discharge. The BMS checks every single cell in the process, making the battery even more durable.
• Fast charging
  Bosch Chargers are available in various sizes and power levels and enable rapid charging as required.
• Easy to remove
  A few simple steps are all it takes to remove a Bosch battery. The battery can thus also be charged or stored away from the eBike. This facilitates operation in winter, among other things. Since the battery delivers less power at low temperatures, it should be stored at room temperature in winter until shortly before the ride.
• Safety
  Bosch sets standards in battery safety with a combination of various technological safety mechanisms, additional tests, and a high level of automation in manufacturing.

Intuvia display: Focus on the user

In 2012, Bosch eBike Systems introduces a new on-board computer: Intuvia. Intuvia makes eBike riding even easier and more comfortable. The intuitively operated on-board computer marks the start of a concept that has distinguished Bosch eBike Systems ever since. The desired riding mode can be selected via the separate control unit. The display shows all important information, and a USB interface for smartphones turns Intuvia into a control center for on the go. In addition to user-friendliness, Intuvia stands for a harmonious connection between eBike and rider.

Nyon: Power and range are joined by intelligence

In 2014, Bosch eBike Systems opens up a new dimension of eBiking with the first all-in-one on-board computer Nyon. Simply smarter eBiking: Thanks to GPS navigation, fitness and smartphone function. In combination with the Bosch online portal ebike-connect.com and the smartphone app of the same name, Nyon is a travel guide, tour planner and fitness trainer at the same time. With next-generation eBike connectivity, Nyon opens the door to a uniquely networked eBike world - a milestone for all those who want to be optimally informed about route, range and ride data while on the road.

The eBike ABS

In 2017, the world's first series-production ABS for eBikes will be launched. As a leading supplier of motorcycle safety technology, Bosch is introducing the first anti-lock braking system for eBikes that is ready for series production. The e-bike ABS enables controlled, stable braking in any situation and thus less risk. During difficult braking maneuvers, the braking pressure of the front brake is regulated and the riding situation stabilized. A rollover as well as a locking front wheel is thus avoided - ideal in the e-trekking and city area. The combination of front-wheel ABS and rear-wheel lift-off control thus prevents pedelec accidents and sustainably increases the safety of e-bikers - an important milestone for the further success of the e-bike.
