ARTZT was founded in 1981 by Ludwig Artzt, the company's namesake, who initially worked as a sales representative in the medical technology sector. He recognised the potential of the physiotherapy and fitness industry. At the end of the 1980s, he presented the TheraBand at German trade fairs and congresses. The TheraBand brand laid the foundations for the company in Dornburg, Hesse. In its almost 40-year history, the company has remained a family business and continues to emphasise quality over quantity.
ARTZT vitality is the premium brand for medical fitness and stands for the highest product quality and effective training equipment that is fun to use. ARTZT has more than 40 years of experience in rehabilitation, sport and fitness training. The close dialogue with the experts still flows into the development of a comprehensive programme for fitness and well-being.
Exercise is important
Exercise keeps body and mind fit and healthy. ARTZT offers high-quality, multifunctional sports products for almost every level of performance and age. ARTZT attaches great importance to quality, efficiency proven by sports science and fun during exercise. Because only those who have fun remain motivated to exercise in the long term.
Train balance and equilibrium with the stability trainer, deep-lying muscles with the gymstick or the entire body with the exercise band or TRX band - you will find the right device for every area of application.
What is a stability trainer?
A stability trainer is an individual coordination and stabilisation training tool. The foot muscles are not sufficiently trained due to the amount of sitting we do in everyday life. This lack of training stimulus inevitably leads to weak foot muscles and a structural problem in the musculoskeletal system. The muscular weakness in the feet is also responsible, among other things, for the deterioration in neuromuscular control, which not only increases the load on the joints but also reduces energy efficiency.
The systematic destabilisation of the body during training reflexively provokes a torso straightening and stabilisation of the body. The athlete very quickly realises that moving the pelvis forwards and the shoulders backwards brings them into a more stable position on the pad. Training on an unstable surface therefore not only affects the foot muscles, but also the whole body. The muscles that ensure an upright posture are trained.
The small muscles close to the skeleton are largely responsible for upright posture and are perfectly addressed and trained by training on the stability trainer. Regular training stimulation is particularly important for these muscles. It is therefore advisable to combine stability training with everyday activities - e.g. brushing your teeth in the bathroom in the morning - which you carry out with a high degree of regularity.
What is a Blackroll?
It is a training device for fascial self-massage to keep the body's muscular connective tissue sheaths permeable and thus loosen hardening and adhesions in the connective tissue.
Fascia training with various tools, which work both over a wide area and at specific points (trigger point massage), ensures that the tissue remains supple and permeable thanks to the gentle, rolling pressure and tension is released. Fascia training has a pain-relieving effect on muscles and joints and also helps the muscles to regenerate after sport.
