Shimano's EP8 e-drive is not only dynamic and powerful, but also offers a light system weight that perfectly supports the agile geometry of the JAM² 7.9. You have two motor support profiles at your disposal, which you can individually adapt to your needs. You can easily switch between a smooth and continuous profile for your ride to the trail and a very dynamic, progressive profile for the actual ride on the trail. Just the way you like it. Plus, our specially designed 720 Wh integrated but removable battery supports you on your long rides. In addition, you can charge your devices via a USB-C charging port on the top tube.

Optimized kinematics for strong progression

With the further development of our well-known F.O.L.D. kinematics, you can now let it rip even harder with your JAM² 7.9. We've kept the popular sensitivity of the F.O.L.D., but changed the positioning of the kinematics in the frame to offer better resistance to punctures. The characteristic curve is completely progressive and makes for a super stable chassis in tough terrain. Especially E-MTBs with their additional weight due to motor and battery benefit from the stronger progression. This feature allows you to master every trail while the suspension still provides you with enough comfort for long trail laps. Plus, a lower standover height gives you more room to play with your JAM² 7.9 on the trail.

Rideability is our number one priority. With the JAM² 7.9, every ride will be more fun. Agile, nimble geometry with a sleek, compact design will have you flying over all trails, technical or flowy. With the FLIP CHIP on your JAM² 7.9's redirection, you can adapt your geometry to an even more aggressive riding style. The small adjustment of the steering angle from 65.5° to 65° changes your set-up to even more downhill power. In addition, the specially developed C.I.S. design provides a tidy look at the cockpit and always ensures flawless shifting and braking. All cables run from the handlebar into the stem and through the headset into the frame. Moreover, all your essential parts fit into the accessory bag between top and down tube.
